چکیده
During concrete pavement construction, comprehensive information on strength development is necessary for knowledgeable scheduling decisions. To improve in situ estimation, nondestructive tests can be combined to maximize available and increase collection efficiency. Ultrasonic testing has a higher accuracy estimation early age the external device allows more data easily collected, while maturity use temperature models predict development. A procedure was created that combines these methods their laboratory improved increased field data. Using collected with greater provides an adjustable, predicted This improves efficiency of fast-track construction projects without resorting costly alternatives by providing than traditional or individually.

Evaluation of Early-Age Concrete Compressive Strength with Ultrasonic Sensors
Surface wave velocity measurement of concrete using ultrasonic sensors requires testing on only one side of a member. Thus, it is applicable to concrete cast inside a form and is often used to detect flaws and evaluate the compressive strength of hardened concrete. Predicting the in situ concrete strength at a very early stage inside the form helps with determining the appropriate form removal ...

Introduction The nondestructive, in-situ testing of early-age concrete properties is a crucial point for the progress of many construction projects in the building sector. The application of such techniques can establish e.g. the earliest possible form removal from concrete construction elements, thereby opening highways to traffic or releasing prestress from steel reinforcement with greatest e...
متن کاملA simplified approach for predicting early-age concrete pavement deformation
Studies on deformation characteristics of early-age Jointed Plain Concrete Pavements (JPCP) due to environmental effects have drawn significant interest over the years. However, the complex nature of the problem arising from interacting environmental factors has resulted in difficulties in predicting the JPCP deformation characteristics. This study introduces a simplified approach for predictin...
متن کاملNondestructive Evaluation of Thick Concrete Structures
Materials issues are a key concern for the existing nuclear reactor fleet in the United States as material degradation can lead to increased maintenance, increased downtime, and increased risk. Extending reactor life to 60 years and beyond will likely increase susceptibility and severity of both known and new forms of degradation. A multitude of concrete-based structures are typically part of a...
متن کاملRecent developments in concrete nondestructive evaluation
Concrete is a multi-phase composite material which is difficult to inspect using conventional ultrasonic techniques, including those that work well on relatively homogeneous materials such as metals. This paper summarizes recent research that makes use of signal processing techniques to overcome ultrasonic inspection difficulties in concrete. Basic findings from several new laboratory-based NDE...
